Is it just me???

Just curious if anyone has noticed this...

dead lobbies.

I like getting my own lobbies for connection purposes, so I'll join/leave until I get one of my own. Had no problem with this until about a month ago or so.

Used to be, I'd get my own lobby, a minute or maybe five MAX would go by and people would join and I could go for hours.

Now, I have all I can do to get my own lobby (spent an hour and a half trying the other night because I have no life lol). When I do finally get one, it's dead. No one ever joins in. I've let many of them just sit there .. one for several hours one day... nothing. Sometimes one guy will join, leave a minute later... and nothing.

Once in a while I'll get one going by some miracle, and it peters out after a game or two... people leave and no one else joins, then it just goes dead.

WTF?

I join fresh lobbies constantly, or full ones that have been going... so what's the deal on my end?

One more question, this one I could never figure out. How is it someone ends the game and doesn't lose their lobby? There isn't even an option for that. Just "leave game", which after it goes through the ending part... no more lobby. But some people seem to have magical powers that lets them keep theirs.

(I'm not one of those doosh bags that ends games, but I don't understand how they're doing that).

when a game ends and the lobby stays its usually a connection problem with the host

only when they press end game do they end the party

ive been in many a lobby where they been dead you just have to leave an try again im afraid
nothing can be done

you're right, its started about a month ago. We sit in lobbies just waiting on anyone to join. I can't host, so its always under someone elses connection. Doesn't matter who it is, we randomly wait for minutes before someone enters.

And what Danny said on the game ending and the host keeping the room. His connection just lagged so much the game ended but didn't close the lobby.

Well at least it's not just me. Makes me feel a *little* better.

It's too bad really. I like hosting because I'm BS free lol. I mean my internet is top notch and I don't end games or leave afterwards because I didn't win (pet pieve of mine). Seems like half the battle is just finding a group that won't bail every 2 seconds. I've run lobbies for up to 5 hours before and seen the same people stick with me the whole time ( I think they appreciate a BS free host too lol).

Plus with my internet, everyone in my lobby has a solid connection. It's rare I see anyone with less than 3 green bars... most have 4. When I play other people's lobbies I'm lucky if I get 3 green, sometimes I'm in the red.

Bummer... I hope it's some kind of temporary glitchy thing.

I noticed it too, games seem to be lagging out all the time now, also COD4 seems to be running a bit crappy in general, it seems as though its running out of sync or something (dont know if thats the right way to put it) I heard XBOX users had some sort of problems with games speeding up or slowing down, could that have maybe affected the amount of time spent on PSN servers? i always have 3-4 greens very seldom a yellow or red, but lately its been 50/50.

It is lagging more and more, deffo.

I hate it more when you join game after game after game in succession for each one to get ended. Ive been lucky a fair few times recently as Ive gained host staus. When I do I keep the lobby running as long as possible.

Connect Problem with host,and maybe someones Downloading something on the computer.

Maybe its just that less people are playing the game nowadays. It is well over a year old.

get the full requierment of people of the game mode, I.E in headquarters you need 6 people to fill your side so get 6 of your friends and try to get lobby its alot more successfull
