Lol... Yeah it can be a bit quirkly like that... It reads my CPU as running at 127 degrees in win7 x64 (in bios it reads around 30), but each core is between 20 and 30... On my old 32 bit XP system it was spot on at around 35/40... Go figure

I haven't actually tried speedfan on my new motherboard, but on my old foxconn 590 SLI board it was pretty much useless. Didn't detect Northbridge at all, CPU would read at 60 degrees no matter what I did, I apparently didn't have a GPU etc...

I should be getting my new CPU later this week, the 3.4Ghz AMD quad. I'll probably have that running at about 4Ghz (don't want to push it too far lol) once I slap the liquid cooling system on it

As for saving up for a new GPU? I'm not saving, I'm waiting... I want to see what the nvidia DX11 cards have to offer when they come out later this spring

Looking to the Bible or Koran for the answers to the universe is like watching Tron to learn how a computer works.
I'm not good in a crowd, I've got skills I can't speak of.
Things I've seen will chase me to the grave...

First of all, thank you for all of the different codes and sites to help fix things...my only questions are.

    1. How do I know the commands are all working? I tried entering them as you typed, or with a space in between the numbers, and any which way..and am still not sure if I entered them correctly.

    2. I see the image on my screen while I play...but all it looks like it s 2 boxes on top of one another...and i see a red spike when i have lag....and still have no idea what my actual fps is or how to find it.

Thank you kindly for all your help!

Can someone please help me with the previous problems mentioned in terms of knowing if the codes are entered properly and working? I've yet to really see any difference in quality for online gaming...

    Thanks!

    /cg_drawfps 1

Is the command to show your fps in game, default location is top right hand corner.
There is only so much you can tweak in your config for stock multiplayer as some servers will kick for altering certain cvars, promod is more suited for config tweaking and lower end rigs as a lot of the eye candy is already removed.
