Default WaW: Differences - Good or Bad

I have never played CoD: WaW

I don't want to buy it unless i've played it and know its good. I don't want to rent it and waste money unless i know its good... nahh j/k we just really don't have alot of renting VG options around here.

    Anyway.

Can everyone please point out the initial differences between CoD: WaW and CoD4... Im not talking about the fact that CoD4 is Modern and WaW is set back in WWII.

I'm talking about Multiplayer differences, weapons, maps.
Just pretty much the pros and cons of WaW in comparison to CoD4..

Based off of ya'lls experience with the Beta.. How would it reach up to CoD4 standards... and should it be a top priority as far as which Game i should get next?

Thanks in advance for everyones suggestions.

Well the biggest difference is that there are vehicles on some maps in WaW, and I personally don't like them, sure they can be taken down somewhat easily but gosh are they annoying. As far as map differences go it's hard to say because there have only been three maps released in the beta but I do like them so far, Makin isn't that great but Roundhouse and Castle are great maps from my experience so far. WaW isn't as smooth and playable as CoD4 but I'm hoping it flows a bit better once they release the full version. But it is hard to describe other differences, I would suggest either downloading the beta off the marketplace (It's available to everyone now) and try it yourself to see if you want it. It's a lot like CoD4 but not as good as it.

Only about a day or two I think. i played it last night and I really liked it. Although it has the same engine as COD4 i find that it feels a lot different when playing for some reason. And I also think that sniping is going to be a lot harder on WaW.

They are called Bouncing Bettys, they become available at level 24 and are in the Perk 1 slot. You get two of them and you plant them straight down, can't throw them and they work like a claymore except you can activate them from any direction. If you get within a certain distance of it regardless of the direction you are coming from you will activate it and let me tell you, they are extremely deadly if you don't see them and keep running. They are mostly below ground and don't have any bright red activation lights, they just have a slightly glowing part sticking a few inches out of the ground, no higher then a shoe. So if you plant them in some tall grass, right around a corner, or underwater they are impossible to see without bomb squad. Imo 2x better then claymores considering you can't just jump over the blast and survive.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I have nothing better to do and I have played the game a fair amount.

Not sure if you can answer this because its just the Beta that everyone has, but does it look like its going to take longer to prestige since its going to 65 levels or will it just be less XP to get to the next level? Also, any knowledge of gun camo? thanks

do you think the graphics will be a bit smoother for the real game because when playing the beta and looking at the gun in hand and even your players hand it doesnt look as smooth as cod4 graphics. any ideas?
