Man Runs From Sheriff Deputies... but did nothing wrong.

This is the direction the United States is going. reminds me of the movie Idiocracy. This guy should be charged with something, wasting tax payers dollars, endangering the police or at least causing them anxiety not knowing what this idiot was going to do.

A man needed to be rescued from a septic tank he jumped into after running from Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Deputies.

The incident began around 8 a.m. Tuesday when dispatch got a call about a man obstructing traffic on the 9th Street Bridge in Ceres. When Deputies were arriving, they saw a man matching the suspect’s description at the Arrow Inn. When the man saw the Sheriff’s cruiser, he ran toward the back of the motel.

Deputies drove around to the back of the motel near the intersection of Ansul and Hosmer Avenues. They couldn’t locate the suspect right away until they heard a noise and realized he had jumped into a septic tank right behind the motel, and got stuck.

The Ceres Fire Department was called to get him out, but Deputies said he was uncooperative. Eventually, firefighters got him out, uninjured. The Deputies did a background check and it turned out he wasn’t wanted for anything, and since he didn’t actually cause a crime he was released. When the Deputies asked why he ran he said "it’s what he’s seen people do on TV".

The man was released to his family who took him to the hospital to make sure he doesn’t have any health issues from being in the septic tank.
