Who plays Obscurity?

Just wondering if there are any Obscurity Mod players in this community. Maybe we could hit up a match sometimes
For those who don't know, it's a mod for CoD4 which is kinda based on the Predator movie.

Yup... Obscurity is actually a lot of fun to play if you have someone who actually knows how to play as the obscurity...

Teams tend to be 4-1 soldiers-obscurities, though some servers have it at as much as 10-1 severely outnumbering the obscurity. That might sound unbalanced, but a good obscurity player will be able to beat those odds every time. If you have 3 obscurities working together as a team, then even 29 soldiers don't stand a chance

The obscurity doesn't have any lethal weapons besides it's melee attack, however it does have the ability to move great distances really quickly, and it can jump over most buildings, or at least climb them. It also has a range of psychological weaponry ranging from targeted hallucinations making a single soldier think he's under attack (which can cause him to start shooting wildly often killing his own team mates), environmental weapons that can make a whole group kill each other if they get scared, it can teleport soldiers and swap place with them, pull them towards it, drop grenades that don't do any damage but make your soldier bounce all over the show, hang from the sides of buildings to drop on prey as it passes below. It can smell your blood, and it can quite literally make grown men afraid behind their monitors by simply growling at the right time... I've had friends screaming down the mic just by hitting them with some of the none lethal weapons and using the obscurity chat commands to tell them I can smell their blood in it's animalistic growl

It's also invisible, though not completely: when it moves quickly you'll see the air shimmer, you'll see bits of the scenery go flying around as it passes, and hear a sort of white noise effect when it's close to you if it's moving quickly (or if it's making you hallucinate!). In the vid you see it take the weapon right out of the guys hands, I've never seen that before, so I'm guessing it's a recent addition to the mod.

EDIT: I can only see 3 with ping below 100 at the minute. Look for "obs_elim" as the game type. I'll be up for a game later on (need to go to the butty shop first)

Yeah mate, got a couple of things to do first... At work til early afternoon, then my boys recently got a public promod server so I'll be helping populate that until numbers start to dwindle, usually fairy early on in the evening (will shoot you the IP for that if you want?). But I'm off work tomorrow so might grab a bag of weed and hit up this obscurity mod a bit later on. ;D

I'm a bit of a diva when it comes to ping, are there any below 50? I'm used to 25-35. xD

I don't really play promod that often, I love the gameplay, but it annoys the hell out of me the way it changes various aspects of my config. Changes which I then have to go and rewrite myself to stop it from getting me kicked out of none promod servers. Yes I could just create another profile purely for playing promod, but I'm too lazy

Haha, just set your config to read only mate. I have the same problem in reverse, and this way I can just close and re-open CoD4 and the changes I made will have disappeared.

Trouble with a read only config is I'll forget it's read only, and wonder why I can't change anything
