I'm pretty much stuck between the Barrett and M40A3 for my favorite sniper. I run both with ACOG, Bando, Stopping Power, and Steady Aim; go figure.

well its not sniping but no scoping. anyways it doesnt matter if you use athe acog scope but def use steady aim. when you found ur enemy put ur cross hair on him and as u shoot move backwards making the shot much more accurate. some move to the left or right then stop to put the cross hair on thier target and shoot. both work. now this takes practice but if u do it right u can no scope very far.

It really all depends on what gametype you are playing. If you are playing Hardcore then the M21 is a no-brainer as it has basically non-existant recoil, a large clip capacity, and a great firing rate and not to mention on Hardcore it kills in one shot.

If you are playing regular TDM though or the other Non-Hardcore gametypes then I would definitely use either the Barrett or the M40. Although I don't mind the R700 either despite the ridiculous recoil.

I enjoy sniping the best. My favorite rife is the M21 with the standard scope. I like to use overkill so I have something useful to use when moving from spot to spot. My goal is to get 4 kills per game which sometimes gets me some flack and comments but all I am looking for is that one perfect shot. We all play the game for different reasons.

I am getting better at sniping. I used to suck really badly. I either use M40 or 50cal. Dragunov and R700 aren't very accurate and M21 is pretty weak. Stopping power on 50 cal makes it super powerful also if you want to take out juggernoobs with one shot.

I prefer the m21, either the regular acope or the acog. I only use the acog if I am using overkill.

You have to pick the right map to snipe on, I find Overgrown to be the best. I park myself in the corners - make sure you have at least 2 sides of defense when sniping. Sniping is all about position, down someone, then move to another spot. Also utilize your claymores when sniping, they come in handy.

When I snipe I use the .50 cal or the first sniper rifle you unlock, the Dragonov and the R700 are inacurate.

I use stopping power and deep impact perks, some guys use UAV jammer, but I find this not of any help since you are only taking 1 or 2 shots. The most important thing to do when you are sniping is to hold your shot - by this I mean after you shoot the guy, hold the scope (left trigger) in, this way when the guy you kill views the Kill Cam, he will only see the scope shot, not your location. Only take a shot when you are reasonlably sure you will get the guy, if you miss, your dead...

Depending on your sniper style, (dont listen to this guy) The R700 Is One hell of a wep,

And I am The Elite Marksman in the clan, No Matter what map what game type you can be sure that i will rake in kills with my highly accurate R700 (not inaccurate, this dude/dudette just cant use it) YOu can sit and snipe, if you place yourself correctly, or you can pop and move,

I usually sit and snipe, you may call me a camper if you like, but ill be the one with a 20 Kill streak with a chopper inbound. and you will have died 30 times before you realise where i am, and thats if your lucky, dont bother with clay mores, use bando =D

#And get yourself a clan you can trust/rely on. if you think your under fire/been spotted then call them up to you for support, after all you just saved there a***s with 1shot 1kill scenarios, Sorry if this seem like i am an egoist/Pr*ck But i am not =D

Learn your sniper. I have mastered the M40. I can hit people easily when they are crossing the street. I nearly never miss now, because I have shot people from so many angles and distances. Just use it a bunch and you will get used to it. My friend, refused to snipe. He said it was stupid and Gears of war sniping is way better. He has gotten used to it and the other day it showed. We were playing SnD on Crossfire and he got a higher score than me. (That only happens when pigs fly) He still a newbie. He popped like 4 guys in a row that were crossing the street...... It was great. He ended up with around 8 kills.
