Im rocking the MG36 with Grip, Silencer, SOH, Blast Shield and Stalker (all pro) works for me. In fact that set up on any lmg works fine spray and spray and keep spraying till u automatically switch to (for me stinger) secondary and get gunned down, respawn, rinse and repeat.

If you are going to use a LMG, do not, I repeat, DO NOT SIT IN THE CORNER WITH IT. One might think the manliness of a LMG would cancel out the cowardice of corner camping, but no, if anything, it makes you look like an even bigger asshole. You're violating the sanctity of light machine guns with this kind of abuse. It's even worse if you sit in a corner with a LMG while wearing Assassin. I usually don't care if you're out and about and running around, though I personally dislike Assassin on LMGs, as I feel like I can't my sights up fast enough, and that speed is important to my playing style. But to corner camp with a LMG and Assassin?!

"But Trip, it's only a video game!" Damn right it is, which is why there is no need to pull that kind of vulgar stunt.

I've seen some increase in LMG use, but sadly it's quite often been the corner-camping or crouch-walking pussy with his MLG Stealth setup that engages in this...
Sitting in a corner with LMG isn't cowardly...well ok it is. But primarily, it's stupid. They're designed to be more effective than weapons at range (IE no damage drop). Locking down lines of sight, spawn trapping, or just chewing through multiple people around a corner are its territory.

LMG are actually inferior to SMG and shotguns for corner hiding babies. Those are easier to handle and generally kill just as fast or faster at the max 10m range the camping @#%$# is going to be firing.

    THIS!

The way to go with LMG's IMO is: marathon, quickdraw, stalker + speed

    L86 LSW Thermal+Silencer=Hax
    L86 LSW Rapid Fire+Thermal=PP90M1+RSASS

Now that my LMGs have earned what they deserved,I have a reason to play MW3 once again.

+1. Kick isn't very useful at all though when using grip, so you have some options until speed is available. I like focus personally though others (especially 2 attach) are justifiable too.

    About LMGs;

    1- Speed is a waste.
    2- Stalker is silly.
3- You want a Thermal Scope.
4- You want either a Suppressor or Rapid Fire.
5- You want to use only L86,MG36 or if you really need to use a slow reload LMG,use the M60.
6- Don't sit in a corner, use your amazing range and accuracy.

By the way,I just got a headshot with RPG-7,and the blast killed off another poor dude right next to him.

Why use thermal scopes on these tiny maps?

Stalker is so you can actually move from place to place with an advantage rather than a disadvantage. Without it you move like a snail while ADS but are not liable to live if you are encountered w/o ADS.

You are slightly better on the further lines of sight, but you give up a lot of closer viability on maps where there is barely any long range at all.

It's so obvious that you're talking without having even tried Thermal,Thermal Scope in this game provides the same zoom as the iron sights. Stalker is forcing LMG to be an SMG/AR,which it isn't. Sure you have 1000 RPM (with Rapid Fire) or 2HK with 800 RPM but you still can't outstrafe an SMG.

Stalker is allright, but if you really want to be travelling,Steady Aim is better. Especially since Thermal doesn't work so well with Stalker.

Thermal is no longer a long-range only scope, and it reduces the recoil a lot on L86 LSW and Mk46. Try it,even with Rapid Fire the gun barely kicks.

I used to always use the m60 with kick rapid fire before the buff and it beat out most guns. I gotta see how much better it is with the buff.

Thermal is still very obstructive while ADS, but I get your point. If you're rolling that setup RF + Thermal then SA is obviously better.

I didn't realize thermal was so low recoil even while standing. Pretty much anything you do on an LMG is nigh-0 recoil while prone.
