Thinking about buying the CoD4 download tomorrow but I tend to reformat my PC every now and then and I'm wondering if I will have to buy it again every time I reformat, the same goes for the Disc version, I understand you get a product key with it, would I need to buy a new one every time I reformat?

No, you buy it only once. You get a product key with your purchase, and you can use that as many times as you'd like.

Makes no sense, the key is for your game and is checked by PB so if it is in use on another machine it will not work. Not to mention if you are that concerned about it you can always contact where you are purchasing it from.

I've had CoD4 with the same product key installed on two different machines at the same time. That's not a problem. But the game checks your key when you go online, and it won't let you connect if someone else is logged in with the same key at the same time.

Oh I see that makes sense, I'll be getting CoD4 today then, thanks for the help everyone.
There is one more thing I need to know, I want to purchase the downloadable version from GAME, seeing as it's half the price of anywhere else, will I get a product key or is it internally activated when I download it, and will I be able to download it again after reformatting? I know on Steam you can download it as many times as you want because it is linked to your Steam account, and I assume they have a similar system on GAME, but does anyone know for sure? I don't want to buy it and then find out I can't reformat my PC.

I"ve never used them... Either their system works like Steam, with the code already entered for you, or they'll send you an email with the product key for you to enter manually. Just save the email then and you'll be fine.
