I think that obsession with final kill cams is universal, though... I've always had a habit of exiting a game as soon as the final score displays when I knew I wasn't going to play another game after that. Of course, I'm in the final kill from time to time, it's happened often that if I'm the final kill and I'm leaving early anyway, my "ruining" the kill cam has resulted in an angry message from the person getting the final kill.

They never mention the lack of a kill cam, but it is always about me being a rage quitting bitch or a noob for leaving early.
