Sony Headset is interrupting my connection and boots me off the map.

I just bought the new Sony "PS3 Offical" wireless headset.
Now I get kicked out of games and my connection is interrupted too. This happens often, however, when I see the note saying connection interrupted, I turn off my head set and everything is fine and I can continue on with the game with no interruptions.

PS3 customer service says the headset is interfering with my wireless internet and that I have to change the channel of my router.

Does this sound right to you guys, and do you have any other suggestions?

It's known to interfere with Wifi! use a wired connection

I never had a problem. I love that headset. Some folks changed the channel on routed. Did you try that?
