Bing for Microsoft Points?

I found this out earlier in casual conversation on another forum.

Lets not forget that bing gives you 500 MS Points for just using their search engine 5 days in a row! xD

Can you give me a link to prove this?

Not that I do not believe you I just know some people that are going to want to be all over this so they can get MS points so they are going to want details.

You get something called, bing bar. US only. When I was in the us, you get prizes for the amount of points you have. They have different ones including ms points i never used my points, though... see here

I did not know about that and I thought maybe there might be others here that did not either. I would have put this in hte 360 section but I think everyone can use Microsoft points. I mean cant you use Microsoft points for purchasing games and the like.

Anyway I thought I would throw this out there to see if it could help anybody who was interested in it.

I'm pretty sure you need to be a 360 user to use MS points. So, one bing search a day for 5 days gives you 500 MS points? I call B.S.

This is ending at the end of the year when Microsoft does away with Microsoft Points and transfer over to a "gift card" type of thing, similar to what PsN users use. Personally, I only heard about this service about a month ago.

I think 500 MS points is equivalent to $6.25.

at the end of the year, Microsoft is covering the points over to real currency. You will not be able to "cash out", it will be stored for future use on the console.
