Hi guys,
Here's my specs; PS3 120GB slim, HDMI connected for sound and image. No mods, nothing hooked up except my official wireless PS3 controller.
Sometimes while waiting to start the game (online) after connecting to other players, etc. At the big image screen just before game starts and choosing one's gear, it blasts a continuous sound. It's hard to describe but there is no game sounds at all, it's like a very loud humming. This continues thorough gameplay. The only way I can get it to go back to normal is by pressing the PS button and shutting down the PS3 completely. After booting there are no issues until it starts again maybe one day later or so.
Does anyone have any idea of what's going on? I'm kind of scared since my first PS3 (60GB fat model) the disc drive died on me and this was one of the signals before it happened. I have will to go through that again, if anything like that happens (again) I'm going XBOX next time.
