Computing: The No Bull What Do You Know Thread.

For awhile now I have been referring people to Funky and Kebab anytime they have any type of computer issue. I have been told that they do not mind so that is a relief. However I do not want to burn them out or inundate them with questions so I am posting this.

I would like it if "you" (anyone good with computers) could post here stating what you know and where your expertise may lie when it comes to computing and fixing issues. Also console stuff would be helpful as well. The requirements for this are simple.

You must be willing to help people who may not be computer savvy at all. Meaning you have to have patience.

You have to know what you are talking about. This is not the place for egos, arguments and hearsay. If you do not know something or get stuck on something you are helping someone with please ask for help.

Please think before you post. I am looking for people who either do this stuff for a living, are advanced or highly advanced computer technicians or operators, software or hardware, Apple/PC, networking and people who are not afraid to do some research.

Other skills could be.

Soldering
Circuit board constructions or electronics creation
Electrician

Anything that could be related to and or helpful with computing or fixing electronics for example fixing the xbox by doing that overheating thing.


For example: I know a little about a lot of things PC wise, a little networking, a little software troubleshooting, a little bit more hardware troubleshooting etc... but where I excel is in building PC's so I would list that only. If by chance I help someone with a software or networking issue than cool.
