Any idea if the August release date for CS:GO is legit?

I have seen August 21st. Not really sure if that is the actual date. The problem I run into with these things is that I can post a date and then 6 hours later it can change and it makes my release date info incorrect. Everything I have seen though still points to August.
Honestly though Pwn I have not kept up on CS like I would on something like Prototype 2 because I never got into CS but I will look into it more each week now that I know someone is really interested in it.

The info I had was that pre-orders will begin on July 21st with the game releasing around a month later and an open beta somewhere in between. That was from some random website though and you never know if it's real info or if they're just making stuff up to get hits on their site, lol.
