Default Call of Duty 4 Linux Dedicated Server

The Call of Duty 4 Dedicated server files have just been released. Download it here

The linux server files have been updated since this thread was made. You can download the latest updates at icculus.org.

    PLEASE NOTE:

You'll need to copy the data files from a Windows install. Punkbuster works, but you'll need to run its installer separately (instructions on how to do this from the commandline on your remote server are in the README).
It was ported over to linux by Ryan from icculus.org

More Info on the linux files here.

Thanks! Got it running, but don't know the command line syntax for loading custom config files at startup. Any resources would be appreciated.

Updated - It appears the syntax is the same as COD2. My only issue appears to be specifying a map rotation which is off topic. I'll look elsewhere.

does it run better or worse than the windows version?

I would say there is no difference. As you probably know, there are several things that can contribute to performance. The only reasons I wanted a Linux server setup is because I have the server at my house and the O/S is free.

    Default Configuration files

Can I use the same configuration files as windows, or is there something different for COD4 Linux Dedicate Server? If so, where can I find some sample configs?

Thanks - I was aware of that thread already, but I take it that means I can use the same config on both windows and linux boxes?
