Helpful Hints Many People Don’t Know in CoD:
This cover button layout and sensitivity and other things. The two main button layouts are Default and Tactical. The only difference between the two is the knife and prone buttons are switched. Default is better for knifing, Tactical is better for shooting. At long range Tactical users have the advantage of being able to go behind cover easily while at close range, Default users will win with a “reflex” knife. Regarding sensitivity, it goes from 1-10 with 10 being the highest. 1 is basically unplayable. The lower the sensitivity the better your accuracy is. At 10 you are able to spin quickly, which is highly recommended for close range engagements. Work your way up until you can control your sensitivity. Another very important thing is that BO gives the option to turn off Auto-Aim. This is a slight stickiness that is incredible useful, however, it can throw off your aim if numerous enemies are in sight. Only extremely skilled players should even attempt to play with this off. Make sure it is enabled in your Option menu.
After dying, while watching the killcam press start and the big map pops up. Only difference is, its not yours, it’s the map of the guy who killed you. This allows you to find where the enemy is at when you spawn. It allows you to know enemy position like you have a blackbird up so when you spawn just go to where you saw the arrows. This allows you to learn where the entire enemy team is hiding, especially when a team is camping somewhere together. Many times a ‘nade off the spawn will net you an easy kill.(They say its patched, I still use it... what?)
3. Tactical Grenade:
When flashed or stunned go prone immediately. This greatly increases the probability that you will survive. If you are flashed move towards cover and then press Y rapidly. This is a glitch in the game that causes you to appear to be a dead player. Only skilled players will realize you are faking and kill you, or your name will appear over you and give you away.(OFFICIALLY PATCHED) Pull out a tactical nade and hold it for the same effect.(Still Works)If you know where you were flashed from throw your grenades at where they came from. Wait until you can see and quickly kill the advancing enemy. If you are stunned basically stay still, and be happy few people use stuns as they are much better. A flashed player can shoot, move, and knife while a stunned player is forced to stay immobile.
An important thing to know is that a stunned or flashed enemy will appear to be blind even if they have already recovered and kill you. Shoot quickly as they will recover.
Stun grenades can be thrown over walls and only explode on contact so they can be thrown farther, but have smaller range. They blind and immobilize enemies. Flashes blind at a larger radius, but explode on a timer so they can’t be thrown or they’ll airburst.
Tac. Nades can be used to kill all second chance users, just throw them in the general area and the flash kills them.
4. Hip Firing:
This is my official addition to the CoD community. When hip-firing, crouch and shoot and your aim becomes perfectly centered on the middle of your reticules. This makes your hip-fire unstoppable with Steady Aim as your hip-fire is an instant zoom in. This is not sustained and goes away but usually you already killed the enemy by the time. This also works with akimbo weapons and it increases your range into its range without akimbo for half a second. This gives you time to kill people outside your regular range.
