Is the map pack gonna be free?

I was just wondering if the map pack will eventually be free, just like the heroic map pack in halo. I'm wondering this because they've been out for a while and I don't want to pay $10 for five weeks of a map that could have been free. If anyone could include a description of the maps in detail that would also be appreciated

No, it better never be free, that would not be fair to everyone who already paid for them. COD3 maps are still 10 dollars, so I don't think COD4 maps ever will be...

Its dumb that they released the GOTY edition about 1 or 2 months after the maps were released.

I think the maps will become free sooner or later. Im waiting for the maps that are "supposed to come out in summerrr... sooo will see what happens

thanks you guys for helping me out, but does anyone know for sure that they will ever make them free, maybe when they release the even newer stuff?
