Thread: I'm not doing too well...

Default I'm not doing too well...

I've only played MW2 MP from the COD series. I sucked when I started, k/d of much less than 1. I'm better now with k/d of 2-3/1.

I decided to try WaW just for something new and it's like I've never played a FPS before. I shoot people and they just don't die like they do in MW2.

Is it just the difference in games? I'm only at lvl 5 and obviously using starting weapons but I would've thought I'd be doing better at the start than I am. Also not that it matters but I'm only playing FFA so far.

Different games and weapons WAW takes a little skill to be good at MW2 doesnt

WAW was made as a game for fps players with a degree of skill

MW2 was made for players new to fps games or as IW term it casual players

Almost everyone can do well in MW2 even me on my 3 hours i spent playing it had a 2.1 K/D ratio running and gunning

Try useing a bolt action your aim will improve or even just a pistol i use the .357 magnum

I'm doin better now. These maps are so much better than the MW2 maps it's hard to believe. I grabbed the bundle as soon as I installed the game and man they're just great. There's so much more to them, not only bigger but alot more to look at, much better looking and just so much more atmospheric. It's much more immersive than MW2.

I've been playing FPS' since marathon so don't get all high and mighty on me.

I like MW2, I don't like it more than COD4 but I like it more than WaW and yes pubs are filled with ******s using commando, bling and danger close.(scrims FTW)

I've got just under 3.0 k/d on WaW and I mostly use bolts(and mp40 tehe). It's no easier to kill people on MW2 than it is on WaW. The weapons do the same DMG on both games... it's just that the idle/ADS(no sleight of hand) and kick are sleightly more noticeable on most guns.

The only thing that takes more "skill" in WaW are the snipers. I hate snipers in MW2. They think they're bad ass because they quickscope and throwing knife... bks.

    <3 bolts
    P.S.
mp40 is the ump of WaW, it's a good gun that's why people use it.

Actually MW2 does take significantly less skill to play, look at all the ridiculous kill streaks that will rack up a dozen kills while you hide in a corner.

Look at the seriously lag friendly hitboxes. You don't even have to aim to get a kill. I've seen countless game winning killcams where the bullets were miles off target, but still registered as a hit.

Never mind the killcams, as we all know they aren't always accurate, but I've also had many kills by shooting the empty space someone has just vacated. I've been killed in alocation I've not ben in for 10 seconds because someone has shot at me after I've left the area... Instead of them simply missing me, I die and warp backwards to land on a part of the map I'd already left...

5 different types of explosive launcher? Please...

I think the term IW used pre-release was "noob-friendly"?

Besides; Marathon (1994/5?) was a MAC game, and hence not realy a game at all. More of a headache...

Now if you had said Battlezone (1983), I might have been impressed. That's old school

Looking to the Bible or Koran for the answers to the universe is like watching Tron to learn how a computer works.
I'm not good in a crowd, I've got skills I can't speak of.
Things I've seen will chase me to the grave...

MLG Variant? You'll have to excuse me, but I don't play on consoles...

L2 FOUR BAR? So you have a good connection? So what, the hit boxes are still a mile wide...
