Who's the HOST?

How do you tell who the host is? On COD4 it was the guy with 4 bars at the start of the game, usually easy to figure out, but I have not been able to tell on MW2. Any ideas? Thanks

If you can't tell from looking at the connections at the start of the game then you probably can't tell at all.

I get WORSE lag when I'm the host. It drives me crazy. I can always tell when I'm the host because game performance stinks, I can't kill anyone without getting blasted first, and so I usually bail. Then, of course, the host has to migrate. It makes no sense to me at all why my performance should be worse when I'm the host. Anyone have any ideas why this is?

Because every one is going thru your connection, think of it as a traffic way...if every one is pushing thru one lane its going to be a bit hectic huh?

See, I don't understand this. How come in Gears of War 2 if someone has host then they are God, but in MW2 having host seems more difficult. Did IW add some type of lag to host to stop host advantage? I know that had been talked about in GoW2.

I don't know, I just thinks it's weird that if I get host in GoW2 it will be a good match, but if I get host on MW2 it can end up being extremely frustrating.

They will hopefully fix this, if it's possible. It makes no sense at all to have the host be the "best possible connection" and for the host to suffer. Plus, like I said, I end up bailing on those games anyway cause I just get crushed and can't fight back as per usual.

The host is usually the one lag swiching at the start of a new round, when enemies launch predator missiles

I feel your pain my fios connection is 35down 25up and really low ping and im always host and yet it feels like im playing on 56k with mw2s crap hit detection. i mean come on how can i shoot someone in the chest twice with the famas and watch the killcam and i only hit them once before i get shot
