No party chat outside of TDM

Microsoft has decided to disable party chat in a lot of new online multiplayer games, modern warfare 2 is the first game to take this into action.
any game mode outside of TDM you will be forced to use the ingame chat, you can't talk to your friends in peace, you pay for xbox live and you buy there game yet your forced to listen to that anoying kid singing down the mic and have to constantly talk over each other about personal matters.
what are your thoughts on disabling private chat online?

theres a petition here to help change there minds, tho i don't think it will do much good at least support it if you think this is a stupid thing to do

I can see why they would do it for Search and Destroy. When you die you shouldn't be allowed to talk to your teammates and tell them where you died or coach them threw the round.

I think its a good thing to do, but i dont see how they would implement something like that. The party chat option is from the dashboard..... not cod4 or MW2. Im sure there will still be the Mute button for those annoying people and i think this would really help out the balance of the games and keep some of those cheap tactics out of the game.

I love the idea of that, also love the idea of no killcams. I think they should let you be in game chat, with people outside of MW2 or not in the same game as you.

I think it's retarded. So if I'm having a conversation with my buddy and were defending an HQ and one of us dies we have to wait til the Hq is destroyed to resume our conversation? Really? I love the party feature, I don't have to waste time going to players gamercards and muting them if they have the dreaded static mic or if they're an annoying 12 year old.

I like having a party to relay information without someone hearing it but, I hate it for SnD. People can be in a party, get killed then watch their friend and cover their back and warn them if someone is coming.

Looks like this game is screwing all platforms over and only catering towards the very casual gamer its a shame that these issues and the issues for the pc are coming to light just days before the games release no doubt they know how unhappy people will be about the enforced changes they are makeing

I think IWs complaints dept will be busy after the game has been out a few days
