Hey, this is just a simple tutorial, a friend was wanting it so I thought I might as well post it on here and share it with you guys so yeah, enjoy.
What is cod4player?
• Replays COD4 Demos
• Has hot-keys for extra features:
-Third person view
-Different camera angles
What is a 'Demo'?
A demo is recorded within Call Of Duty 4 and it records the gameplay of the current game but not using screen capturing which takes up the majority of your FPS, so you can play normally and does not interrupt your gameplay and still records in full quality. To record a demo, whilst in game simply type in console '/record DEMO1' and DEMO1 being the name of the demo, you can change this to whatever you want to call the demo.
What are the uses of cod4player?
• Easily record Frag Movie/Montage footage.
• Watch someone elses gameplay without having to transfer very large video files.
• High quality.
Ok, lets get started on the actual tutorial, first of all you need cod4player, which can be downloaded HERE, another advantage of cod4player is that it is very small and does not require any installation.
So download that as you would any file, I will not explain how to download it as it is pretty simple and differs depending on what browser you use. After downloading it, open up cod4player.exe and you should have a interface that looks something like this:
You can click on the picture of the Num-Pad on the right to see the hot-keys and what they do:
If you find that the hot-keys do not work, try Enabling/Disabling Num Lock by pressing the Num Lock button.
After having a good look at the hot-keys, click on 'Open Demo' and browse for your demo eg. "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\Mods\promodlive204\demos\DEMO1.dm_1"
Your game should now open, then simply use your hot-keys to control the demo, and if you wish you can record the demo using Fraps so you have a file which you can upload to YouTube!
