MP40 is way overpowered. Without stopping power it does the same amount of damage with stopping power. With stopping power it's a 1 shot to the head. People make excuses like "It's the weapon for pros" but it's the damn noobiest weapon in the game. 80 percent of the people on CoD: WaW use it. I would like to see it removed then laugh my ass off when nobody can play.

ive not noticed the mp40 being overpowerd but then its real hard to kill me lol... 80% of cod waw players are noobs??? im not sure about that man i read in one forum here that the noob is the one moaning about being killed by what ever gun.... still i think stopping power is a waist of a perk..

I think if it didn't have the duel magazines it would be quite balanced to the other guns but it has the highest damage for no reason it only shoots 9mm bullets ffs it has low penetration power but for some reason ultra high damage and your GOD with it.

I only get annoyed by it when they use Dual Mags on it.

It's a gun, you like it or you don't--attaching labels like that make no sense. You're good or you're not----if your good, the gun has no lesser or greater impact than any other---you don't even notice how many people are using it because you don't spend your rime watching killcams, because you're the one doing the killing.

Hardcore TDM for me, so pretty much all guns are one shot kills. Yes a team of juggernaut MP40's are annoying at best. pussy weapon, i wouldn't go that far. if your having trouble killing people using the MP40's...headshots > MP40 w/ any combination.

It's not just the mp40 it's how many people use it and what they use on it. Like juggernaut and matrydom. And the attachment dual magazines gives people like 30 seconds of spraying. And when people put stopping power on it it's just getting extremely desperate to kill because you TRY to upgrade the most annoying gun in the game. Stopping power doesn't do anything to it besides 1 shot heads. And you aren't "pro" if you use it in a 1v1, you just suck. I played a 1 v 3, I was the 1, I used a thompson against 3 mp40s. They complained I was using the THOMPSON!
And btw you don't have too watch the kill cam to see what weapon you got killed by.

Hmm I love people who make gamers-politically-correct statements. "You're the noob for getting killed" "It depends on the player not the gun" blah blah blah...as if they haven't heard of an element of games called "balance" and game designers aren't perfect and sometimes they make underpowered guns and overpowered guns, while nobody cares if a gun is underpowered, it's just adds to the fun by having a challenge to play it, it's quite annoying when there are 1 or 2 overpowered guns which force to only play them if you want to win against people of equal skill or even lesser skill that use them.
The mp40 has decent firerate, is very accurate, kills with two shots...and sometimes have the tendency to kill people in the background without you even aiming at them, here's what I mean:
this happens to me very often and I'm not a player who runs in the open often. I don't understand why this only seems to happen with the mp40 of all CoD5 and 4 weapons but it's quite frustrating. It could be just something wrong with the coding or the thing fires in mini-bursts while still being fully automatic so one hit always means death. Even though it clearly shows the guy in the video being hit twice within 3 seconds and not instantly, I never see any gun do that than the mp4.
I mean let's use common sense here, the thing kills with as many shots as a rifle (2 with stopping power) yet it's fully automatic, has a much much larger magazine and has better hipfire accuracy with minimal sacrifice of range. It doesn't make sense to make an SMG deal that much damage in a game where all rifles are not fully automatic except for the STG, yes they have slightly longer range, but the MP40's damage hardly gets reduced over range. the BAR's don't kill with one **** if you don't have a scope unless you head/chest shot, and the LMG's have small clips and low accuracy. And again, that is all aside from the fact that it tends to randomly kill people in the background that you don't even notice like the video shows, but this could be just bad luck by me as it happens often.
The extended magazines aren't a big deal for me with other guns even though they supposedly do the same damage except for the PPsh...it's still quite annoying how noobs start spraying before they even enter the room not worrying about bullets at all...
And yeah I know that's a long post, but the mp40 is my only problem with WaW, than the incredible laggy buggy servers.

The guns in World at War are unbalance. The MP40 is too overpowered.

Like I said in a previous post, MP40=Sniper, Rifle, LMG, SMG, Shotgun = OVERPOWERED.
