    Default Better connection with Routers?

    Hey everyone
    i have problems with connection on COD
    while i play ill have a 3 bar connection, but, then out of nowhere it goes to 1 bar for a while
    or i will find a match and it wont load..
    will buying a router help this because all i have is a modem in my basement, and my computer is connected wirelessly in my room to the modem and the xbox is connected wired to my comuputer.
    and i cant plug my xbox or computer too the modem because it is too far away...
    please help!!

    i myself don't like wireless. i have a couple of friends that are wireless and they lose connection like you do also. i have a router and my connection is great..

    it isn't your connection but the host's connection.it all depends on the connection because he is the owner of the server.so your going onto his connection.it's not your fault for getting 1 bar.samenthing if you lad.
