This game is a souless clone of bioshock.Just look at the 50's setting, homemade wepons, and druggie like enemies. What a knock off.

wow learn your games before you post somethin like that. bioshock would be the knock off of fallout. the original fallout came out like 10 years ago and was a f'ing amazing game.

I should say the same to you, bioshock is the spiritual sequel to system shock and system shock 2 which came out like 10 years ago. They were made by the same developers.

this game is ****in awesome!!!! one of the most beautiful games i have ever seen. If you like an open ended rpg like oblivion, but w/ a fps fighting system then this a game for you. you can go full first person view or you can choose a over the shoulder resident evil type view. the world is huge with a ton of things to see and explore tons of different kinds of guns and weapons and ways to kill people.

I really like it, and I know it is a good feature but I don't like my weapons degrading. I will start playing it more. I have just been playing cod and l4d lately.

I have this game...have had it since it came out and it's amazing!

Number one thing I LOVE about it, is the VATS system.

You can go many ways with the storyline too, so that's cool.
Although, imo when I'm out running around, weapons are very scarce!

I mostly 'shank the mole-rats etc...but it's a b*tch without weapons.
If you sit down and have about 30 hours, you can easily "beat" this game.

Eh I shouldn't say "beat" it...just explore and switch up the storyline.

:p

It's all about the VATS system. Read this (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/V.A.T.S) and it should answer your question

i have completed this game and finished it in bout 12 hours, that was just the main storyline though and a cpl of side quests! there are loads and loads of side quests to do which will take a long time as you have to run nearly everywhere!

"...like Oblivion, but with a fps fighting system..." Er... have you actually played Oblivion? You didn't play the game in third person surely? Even its predecessor Morrowind had first person view (third person was horrible, player animation was crappy for one thing...) The FPS system used in Fallout 3 was a direct rip of the game code of Oblivion. The only differences are the vats system, the weapons used in game, and of course the enemies...

In FO3 my primary character's name is Twatmunch McF*ck... He's a good guy... "Last best hope..." and all that... My second character is called Percy... He's not so nice. In fact, he's a down right evil son of a whore with a penchant for bloody murder and sadistic torture... See if you can guess which one this is:

Oh, and I fistfight Deathclaaws for fun...

HAHA. Why yes i did actually play both Oblivion and Morrowind. (if only you knew the time I put into Morrowind, you would cring and immediately retract your statement)

But as a matter of fact i do use third person view mostly. I like to get a good feel for what is all around me w/o doin circles to see where i'm at. And I agree to a certain extent w/ the third person animation (only saw flaws with the falling animation and the weapon switchin animations). And are you tellin me you didnt play any of these games in third person? not even a little? cause if not you're really missin out of the full "scale" and scenary of the games.

Lol... believe me I wouldn't... I can imagine... Hell I've already clocked up more than 350 hours in Fallout 3, not including all the times I've forgotten to save for hours then died... :(

That's about it though...

In morrowind the character animation if you played as anything but human made me cringe... The argonians and the Khajiit were exceptionally bad... They all walked like they'd soiled themselves...

Not actually played morrowind that much, don't need to, I just watch the missus play it, solve some of the puzzles etc... Almost like playing the game using simple voice commands, except I can leave it to do it's own thing :p (said it before... I'm lazy).

I've spent what feels like decades in Oblivion... I played oblivion before I picked up morrowind, which is probably why I could never truly get into morrowind... I like the depth of it, but the GUI on oblivion made things SSSSOOOOO much prettier and easier... After experiencing the beauty of oblivion, I couldn't stand the drudge of morrowind...

This game is freakin' awesome, hate the deathclaws it's to much to kill them that's why its handy to have a fatman, oh yeah I was real proud of myself when I found argyle in rockoplois and stupid bohemouth killed dogmeat and charon, sadly I ate dogmeat

You use the fatman on Deathclaws? You've not found the dartgun schematic then? Shoot the ugly SPB's with a dartgun, slows them RIGHT down... So much so that I fist them (phnarr phnarr) or chop them into little pieces with the unique sword "Vampires Edge".

The vampires edge is my favorite weapon in the whole game, I use it on everything... Giant radscorpions giving you hassle? Chop em up... Deathclaws giving you grief? Dart em, then chop em up... a dozen supermutants annihalating you with minigun/gatling lazer fire? Chop em up...

Of course my character's a sneaky bastard with maxed agility, melee weapon, and stealth stats, but the game is far too easy... So I folllow the path of the path of the samarai warrior, no guns... The bushido way and all that... It even works against Behemoths... You have to move bloody quick to avoid getting crushed though...

My second character's a bit of a drummer... He hits things... repeatedly... Then he hits them some more... When he gets bored of that, he hits them harder...

Anyone, anything, anytime - Scratch that - Everyone, everything, all the time, he hits it... Can actually paralyze deathclaws with a punch three times out of ten... The other 7 times he gets dismembered, but he still lands a few hits... He's got nearly maxed health, strength, agility...

I love this game, I've still not finished it, I've had it for months and I just can't bare to end the game's story before I've explored everywhere like twice.

Has anyone else found the crashed UFO with the alien blaster yet? That's an excellent weapon.

Haven't played Fallout 3 in a couple months now, but that's because I haven't found much interested since beating the game.

Honestly, my favorite gun was the Alien Blaster and the Vengence found in the Deathclaw Sanctuary.

I probably will start the game over and play again just to collect all the bobbleheads, we'll see what happens.

Took me forever to get the game but I started playing it this week and already I can tell it's going to be an awesome experience. I'm going to try and collect the bobbleheads this time round. Ransom54, make sure you don't miss the obvious one on your dad's desk!
