Commando Set UP

I run hardline pro, warlord pro, and marathon pro mostly with the commando, can anyone give me a better configuration or idea of what to run? I am not sure if using marathon pro is actually helping me except for in capture the flag mode.

When using warlord pro I'll either use extended mag/silencer or silencer/reflex sight.

Also I tend to play really well when I'm playing FFA but in TDM I suck! I play with a group of guys that normally play together and this is my first shooter game of the new era (COD) so some may be just figuring it out still, but anyone that can help would be great.

I prefer SOH pro on the commando for the faster aiming time.

I didn't like it with a sight I much prefer the irons.

Also didn't like it with the silencer, was used to my AK silenced so it felt nerfed.

My setup - Commando - dual mags - Hardline - SOH Pro - Marathon pro

I just got done playing with these classes and the dual mag SOH class worked best for me, rushing. But I mainly stick with Dom, it's more fun for me especially with randoms vs. TDM.

I hear you with SOH, I use that for the CQC like on Nuketown/Firing Range. Then the hell with the silencer and all the stealthy crap!

My setup

Commando w/ red dot (custom reticle so does that make it a blue dot? :D)
Ghost (so no red dot on UAV)
SoH Pro (faster reload and ADS)
Ninja (no sound whoring and i cant stand my own footsteps)

This is based on my ACR class from MW2, this class is awesome gets me a k/d of atleast 4+ every match, but then that may just be me? ;)

Are you playing Defense, or Offense in Cap the Flag mode?

Commando is more of a long range AR, so I would hang back watch long sight lines with it. If you're rushing to cap flags might as well strap on Lightweight, and a 74-u and do work running around.

You can get away without SOH if you want, mainly because it's got a really fast reload as it is. That being said, the quicker ADS always helps.

Commando with E-Mags
Semtex/Nova/Claymore or C4
Hardline Pro/SOH Pro/Marathon

I would ditch marathon. I would only recommend marathon on a class that you intend to run with (and only with an smg/pistol set up), like the flag runner.

With a commando, you are better off using hacker or tact mask for your third perk (personally, I prefer hacker so I can steal SAM turrets). I also don't find the commando's sights horrible, so I would use SoH instead of warlord.

With SoH, some people will say that dual mags or ext mags is useless, but I disagree. I would go with dual mags, there is nothing wrong with increased increase reloading times. I like the sound of it, I'm not a fan of putting the silencer on it, but it's your preference. I'd recommend using the gun at longer ranges and burst firing, so you don't want the silencer to lower your range capabilities.

I always do a 3-5 burst with my commando. It has a perfect iron sight (like the TAR-21 in MW2) Anyways try running any of these three attachments an SOH.

Since it seems the ACOG REALLY messes with the gun's superb accuracy, i tend to only go for short to mid range shots.

Lightweight isn't a contradiction to Marathon; its simply to get places quicker without sacrificing perk 3. I do MLG Var GameBattles, so I'm not aloud to use Ghost or Flak Jacket, or else I'd have Flak Jacket.
