It had been on the critical list for two months but passed away peacefully on saturday with some tiger 11 the way it would have wanted - ).

I was hoping to get some Shield action in with you guys but the bluray was struggling with reading games. Hopefully ill have the cash for a repair this weekend, PES 11 out on friday too what bad timing.

Only managed about 4 or five games with Natas, Sun and Krip yesterday. Had the usual yellow bars whenever Krip is on! However didnt stop me from playing suprisingly well considering Ive been away 4 weeks. Highlight was going something like 34 - 9 on Trebghan TDM...especially playing with those guys. Fair to say Ive seen Sunny Boy play better.... having a bad patch Sun?? Happens to us all.

On thing I did think though was how fast the game felt after 4 weeks off, really suprised. Enjoyed it alot. Perhaps a break is what everyone needs?!?!

Happy to be back on the front line and look forward to catching up with the rest of the clan and C4B regs.

Got some games in today with BCM on my 26" 1993 Panasonic telly :D Mixture of games good and bad, I play better on that with the light airy maps, games in Storm and Vacant I had nightmares lol. Didnt help that I prestiged again...

Anyhow, my new TV lol. Considering its age, Im actually impressed with the set, although the frame refresh rate is achingly slow compared to my 100Hz samsung, and it does cause problems with players seeming to "Jump out" at you from nowhere. I found myself just slashing at anyone, regardless of friend or foe, just in case. Sniping is near impossible though, not even getting hitmarkers, and long range AR work is out of the question. Stuck to UMP, MP5k and SPAS with good effect, and had some good games with the FAMAS.

Came to a major conclusion; HDTV is for noobs :p

Largely though it was up to BCM to carry me, which he did without being asked. He was invaluable in ripping air support down for me and generally causing more than enough havoc to enable me to pick off scraps out in the open. He was legendary in his 7-9-11 KS again, regularly racking up 25+ kills. Good work fella!

If it saves you some money berry, it has to be worth a shot. One thing I wouldnt recommend though is that you take it to Sunny Senior. All you will get for a month is that he'll heat it up, cool it down, apply solder, stick it in the dishwasher, heat it up again, ring Sony, scratch his head, smack Sunny for being impatient, drink some beer, dishwash it again, then decide to pronounce it dead.

I would just like to say for the record, in \V/ Eyes, Senior Sun is a god, and will always have an honarary place in the clan, just for being the most Epic have-a-go repair guy ever.

Yeah I eventually used AT-4's but then me, barbie, Kris, and Xen switched to Riot Shields.
Even though it was a FFA, we managed to know which person was which so we teamed up and killed campers.

I think most of \V/ have hooked up with the Drunken Munkster at some point. I do regularly because like me he suffers a bit from insomnia so we've clocked up serious early hours gaming time together. Played with a few of his clan recently and have two on my Friends list. From what I can see theyre pretty much like us lot, chilled and enjoy the banter. And good players too.

The FFA last night was a blast, quite alot of C4B in, it was carnage. We were swapping top spot continuously and in the end I only won it by 1 kill! Your k/d was better though so you had a moral victory!

Pro Evo 2011 FTW

Finally Konami got it right on the PS3. Its actually so good with the gameplay it harks back to the days of the Pro Evo that had John Terry and Thierry Henry on the front. 5? Think it was anyway. Played the happiest two hours of my life as Barcelona in the Champions League, tearing it up with Villa, Xavi, Messi and Ibra.

Scored some scorching goals and whacked the woodwork a fair few times. Awesome stuff!

Im yet to play Fifa non Demo-Dont get me wrong Fifa 11 is the prettier game and there's no denying the Sky commentators are awesome. But......Konami seemed to have reinstated that PES magic where you never get that "Same game twice" feeling that was so good on the later PS2 models. PES fans of the pre PS3 crapola games will understand exactly what I mean here

Fifa has always suffered from slightly linear gameplay, hit the same attack buttons 3 or 4 times almost made goals a certainty. I had games in fifa 10 like Liverpool v Chelsea that ended 6-4, or AC v Inter at 9-7. In the create a pro gameplay where your striker (Nobody creates anything else) scores 8 times against Man Utd in the first 5 minutes. ProEvo you could have a storming game against Zaragoza and only score once, or a shocker 3-2 against Real and yet score the two winning goals in the last minute and it would be so epic you would hurl yourself into a Klinsmann dive celebration across your living room.

Fave Jon Champion quote so far "Meh.......If the goal was twice as high, he still wouldnt have scored"

Nope, just about to. Ran Barca to the Semis of the Champions League, lost 2-1 away to Manchester Utd after a nervy 0-0 at the Nou Camp. Berbatov is amazing on here, flicks, tricks and skills unlocking Puyol and Pique effortlessly. I thought Id cane them, A stunning Xavi strike in the second minute gave me the lead but after that I couldnt get the ball off them :D

I may have implied in my post that if my Left was that good, the right can only be made of pure awesomeness.

The season I won manager Player of the year I scored 9 goals and was credited with 17 assists. I think 2 of those goals were with my right, two with my head and the rest off the left boot.

The assists wouldnt have been many in number off my right foot either. 90% of the time my "Stronger foot" was used for standing on only :D

Used ACR with silencer and choose a spot along with claymore, now since I usually rush hard. I can figured out rusher more than most campers and jeez I was having 24 -2, 28 -1, 30 - 2, 24 - 0 etc etc...

Lol it wasnt great...TBH probably six of my deaths were trying to decamp two guys in the red building at the top end of the map! The ironic thing was I started it like I did with you and Treb the other day, within a minute I was 11-2 up and then I went on a stupid run of about 13 deaths!!!

Excellent Berry, once you've run it in we'll hook up for some frienlies/Co Op?

I started my Master League...damn its hard :D lol. I replaced the "original" ML lineup with a squad of handpicked players from around the world, mainly youngsters, peripheral players from big sides, and a couple of unknowns. So far, played 3, W1 L1 D1 F6 A4.

D2 is a difficult league, and to make it worth playing you need to swap the leagues around a bit to get some teams in that are true life. I selected and mixed the elite from world football including Real, Barca, Ac Milan, Boca Juniors, Man Utd and a few others into D1, Ive got teams like Fiorentina, Tottenham, Panathanikos and Cluj in D2 with me. I took WE Utd and gave them a new name, strip ect, and prepared for battle, and its so much harder than having the twinkle toed glory boys from Barca at your fingertips :mad:

I think though, all in all its a very accomplished piece of work from Konami, and well worth getting. Sure theres the usual crazy goal mouth scrambles, your team goes awol at corners occasionally, free kicks are hit and miss, and the slowest defender is still faster than Usain Bolt, tackling takes abit of getting used to as does the shooting powerbar, and for some reason that defies comprehension, every now and then your player will run onto a beautifully placed through ball, only to run a circle around it and then leave it :D :D :D but these are traits since the days of ISS pro.

All this is made up for though, when you link a superb 17 pass move culminating in a dinked goal over the onrushing keeper, or a blinding 30 yard run and cross which is met by a screaming overhead kick from a striker that hasnt scored for you in 6 games.

Having problems with BT myself.
They charging us 10 pounds extra, but then doubles the whole fee!
So that's a total of 60 pounds! Senior had a go at them a claimed 30 pounds back xD

Lol in my 6months experience with BT I spent 600pounds :(
1st line charge £120
Line rental £11 a month (even thou I cannot use the phone so wasting money on that)
£25ish for 20mb broadband (I only get 4mb)
Bandwidth exceed a month 50 - 80 pounds worth a month ffs!
Cancelation charge 140quid ffs!


With virgin I pay 15 pounds a month for unlimited bandwidth and 6mb connection! And they don't charge line rental cos I have a valid reason (deaf)(also cable not available in my area :()

Downside is you have to wait between 2 & 4 weeks though and customer service is not the best but better than bt.

Is there any room in v for a 39 yr old with alcohol and drug abuse problems.lol.
