xp reducing hack??

so i just got out of a game, and in the lobby, half the people were L1 non-prestige. they had normal ranks before the game, so something happened during that game.

i left immediately, it was TDM-express, didn't want to get into the next game.

so, anyone experienced this? is it permanent? can it be done? what the hell... i got kinda scared...

Sounds like a glitch in the system, like when you re-connected in the lobby it showed them as level when when they weren't because that would be the default to show. Just an idea though. I wouldn't know unless I saw it first hand.

Nope it's just the same as the huge xp kills you get in some hacked games that boost straight to level 70, they can do the opposite as well and remove all your xp in 1 kill, and ues it's permenent.

Or you might have been seeing the rank 1 glitch, where for some time, a person is rank 1. But that is temporary and not really real.

i hope it was some sort of glitch. i only noticed when the countdown was at like 2 seconds, so i was too busy getting the hell out of there before even taking a SS.

Unfortunately IW screwed the PC community with MW2 so some of the PC community have decided to screw IW and the best way to do that is to mess with the players still playing the game get them angry complain to IW fill there forums with rage, quite the game ect

You have been the unlucky victim of the reverse rank cheat or hack just wait till you find a game you carnt move in or a cracked game that has you jumping 50ft in the air with unlimited ammo or one of the many other things some of the PC players have done to show there displeasure with IW/Activision

I think you should take a look in the MW2 PC section of IW,s forum your not alone but be sure to be in the right frame of mind before you go there its full of raging kids crying about anything and everything

i don't know, the game is awesome other than the server issue. :(

and i saw quite a few of these today, all on the other team, so it's probably just a glitch thank god

It's only a glitch, they're not rank one, it's just because your client is having trouble connecting to the lobby and getting all of the data it needs.

this is correct, i see it every other game now...

worst part is, i did mistakenly get into a hacked server mid-game, got ONE kill, insta L70 for L44... so not only didn't i get to play with my 2nd favorite weapon, the mini-uzi, i get to do the mindnumbingly boring 1-44 again :(

and again, now, at prestige3-L50, i got into another hacked game, not even needed to kill, insta L70

this time i will just stay here and play around, sick of leveling for now :D
