So after i installed codmw2 my pc keeps locking up and sometimes crashes altogether. I play allot of games and i have never had any issues but with cod games. What ever has happened is now causing all my other games to lock up and crash also. Ive updated all my drivers including sounds, video, and directx.
Ive looked up ever possible fix ive been able to find.

Moved to MW2 PC section :)

What drivers/forceware version are you using for the 260?

I know a lot of people have had issues with a lot of the 191.xx series of forceware, the 195.39 beta's are working brilliantly for me on Win 7 x64 though...

My computer packed up and wouldn't play any games I found out later that had about 3 trojan horses on it or is your hardrive full? I know if you are low on room and virtual ram they screw up sometimes.

Right, your not going to believe the solution to this.
But it will work because cod4 dosent play on windows 7 either but there is a way.
This is SO unexspected as a solution BUT
You need to have MICROPHONE plugged in, I don't know why but my pc, bros and dads have windows 7 and work with microphone in. Without microphone it wont load up.
Plz messge me to tell me if it has worked for you

That's Bullcrap... Works fine on Windows 7. I should know, CoD4, WaW and MW2 all run on my rig, which is Windows 7 x64?

That's a fix for something entirely different, the iw3mp/iw3sp/iw4mp/iw4sp.exe crash error...

Ill check today and see what version i have it should be the newest since i reformatted yesterday and loaded everything fresh. After the format everything seemed to work fine for about an hour then the crashes started again. Also i know allot of people playing on windows 7 and are not having any problems at all. I have plenty of room on my hd right now as its the only thing installed on it. It seems like its a conflict or drivers of some sort but i cant figure out what it is. I had this problem on the last cod game also.

Soo last night playing another game my video freezes and then my moniter says no signal. I hook it up to my other output and everything works fine now. I play cod all night with out any problems. Very very weird, but at least everything seems to be working as it should.
